In 2025, Indonesia entered a critical phase in strengthening its population and family development governance through the institutional transformation of the National Population and Family Planning Board (Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional/BKKBN) into the Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kementerian Kependudukan dan Pembangunan Keluarga/Kemendukbangga).
